Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas from Down Under!!!

RecipeTin Eats Christmas - Nagi and Dozer

Just like last year, it was 2 days before Christmas when I realised I didn’t have a Christmas photo and found myself scrambling to take a last minute picture so I could send out Happy Holiday wishes.

And just like last year, I found myself gripping Dozer in a chokehold, forcing him to look at the camera in an attempt to capture a half decent Christmas-cheery portrait of us. Dozer attempting to flee at every opportunity, me grabbing him by his tail, pulling him back, dragging him into position, scrabbling to put his hat back on as the camera self timer started flashing….

Many, many takes later, the best of the bunch:

2016 Christmas Portrait – Dozer looking seriously unimpressed as I forced him to look at the camera.

2017 Photoshoot – Dozer desperately trying to escape….

….then spying the roast Chook I popped on the edge of the pool by the iPhone in an attempt to bribe him into co-operating….

…then finally, getting a passable shot. Ignoring the expression on Dozer’s face.

Christmas photo – (semi) done.

Now – time for some FUN!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Nagi and Dozer! Great pics! It’s 25 degrees Fahrenheit and snowing here. Beautiful but very cold.

Merry Christmas to you from sunny Texas. I look forward to the adventures of Dozer – and your recipes as well. How do I not know that you will be in the States in 2018? Where do I get info about that trip?
    Have a wonderful New Year!

Merry Christmas from the US southern state of South Carolina. We will be having a cooler temperature of 52 degrees which feels cold to me. But it will be sunny, so that will nice. After living in Florida and most recently Arizona, 52 degrees feels cold to me! I wish I was with you and Dozer in that pool right now. I love warm weather for Christmas.

The pictures are great! Thanks for sharing all the different pictures of Dozer in his desperate attempts to get away. Some of them were so funny!

I hope that you and Dozer have a very Merry Christmas!

And a very Merry Christmas to you from Up Top!! Even though our temperatures are pleasant here, somehow a Santa hat and bathing suit seems a bit odd to me. I’ve never before considered that Santa would dress differently for the southern half of the world.

Thank you Nagi and Yumiko, for a delicious year of great recipes. No-knead cinnamon rolls this Christmas Eve morning in the chilly mountains of Northern California. Katsudon on Wednesday. Merry Christmas to you both and of course Mr. Dozer!

Happy Christmas Nagi and Dozer! Love the photo but very envious of your weather, grey skies and rain in England, as usual.
Thank you for enriching my cooking with your amazing recipes and enriching my life with your words and photos. I am so glad I found your website.
I have the opposite problem with my dog – he sits and poses the minute he sees a camera, whether he is supposed to be in the photo or not!
Look forward to ‘seeing you’ next year.

Merry Christmas, Nagi and Dozer! Your photos are fun to see, especially since the ground is white with snow here in Wisconsin.
Nagi, thank you so much for all of your great recipes and fun posts! My daughter and I have had so much fun sharing your recipes. We’ve especially enjoyed learning how to create some of our favorite Cantonese dishes.

Looks like Dozer LOVES the going swimming idea! The pictures are great — thank you for your recipes and your kindness and joy all year long! Our dinner table is much more interesting owing to your cooking magic!

Please keep us posted about when and if you’ll be making a public appearance in the US!
